What's new on the Jennifer Lopez beat

What does $6,936 get you? Well, the lucky winning bidder on Overstock.com snagged two VIP tickets to the opening of Jennifer Lopez's boutique at Marshall Field's on State Street on Sept. 22. The auction ended Thursday, and the winner also gets a one-night stay in a swanky hotel and a chance to meet La Lopez, the Web site reported.
In other J.Lo news, the singer was in Puerto Rico this week to record a reggaeton song with producer Pharrell Williams.
The track will be produced by top reggaeton duo Luny Tunes, El Vocero and El Nuevo Dia newspapers reported. Lopez and Williams are the latest U.S. artists to cross over into reggaeton, a mix of Jamaican dancehall, hip-hop and Latin beats.
