Jennifer Lopez's lawyer is expected to ask a judge today to let her take a breather from her lawsuit against her ex-husband over his proposed tell-all book about their relationship.Attorney Paul Sorrell writes in court papers filed last month that he's requesting a stay so the 36-year-old singer and actress and her first husband Ojani Noa can try to arbitrate a settlement.
Lopez sued Noa over the book in April and got a temporary restraining order barring him from publishing intimate details of their sex life.
The two have since agreed to have the order extended as a preliminary injunction while they seek a settlement.
Sorrell says in Lopez's court papers that she'll seek a permanent injunction and damages in arbitration.
