Jennifer Lopez is turning to the teachings of Scientology in an effort to become a mum, according to new US reports. Jennifer Lopez, who recently attended the Italian wedding of top celebrity Scientologist TOM CRUISE, is reportedly taking tips from actress LEAH REMINI, who used the religion's doctrines when she was trying to conceive her first child.
According to American publication Life + Style, Lopez became interested in Scientology when Remini confided in her that the religion helped her conceive. An insider tells the publication, "She's starting to understand the cleansing process. It's all about putting the positive energy where you want it." The source insists Lopez and her husband MARC ANTHONY are unlikely to join the church because he's a devout Catholic, but "he's willing to let Jen do what she needs to make things happen."

Fox orders pilot for Jennifer Lopez's new 'Brethren' TV drama series
Fox has given a commitment to a pilot episode of "Brethren," a drama from Jennifer Lopez's Nuyorican Productions, Zap2it.com reported in Hollywood.
The show is reportedly based loosely on the life of Isaac Guillen, a former gang member who becomes a defense attorney despite his multiple-felony past. Colleagues think Guillen is corrupt while clients think he's corruptible, the company said in a press release.
Lopez and fellow Nuyorican principal Simon Fields will executive produce "Brethren." Guillen will serve as consultant.
Alfonso Moreno ("The Practice") will write and executive produce, reported Zap2it.com.
"I really love the inherent tension for our main character. He has to work to walk the straight and narrow," Moreno said. "In his professional life, law enforcement is trying to trip him up and criminal forces are lurking to suck him in. His home life is equally tricky in that he has to be the ultimate 'Do what I say, not what I did' single parent."

Jennifer Lopez and Victoria Beckham to turn fashion partners!
TomKat’s wedding seemed to be a good socializing ground for celebrities, with some even talking business.
For instance Latino singer Jennifer Lopez and Posh Spice who attended Cruise and Holmes’ gala wedding in Italy, got an opportunity to know each other, and the duo have now decided to put their pretty heads together and churn out a sexy range of clothes.
"Jennifer thought Victoria was a real character and very much hopes they can stay friends now they have met. They talked about the film industry and then their shared love -fashion. Jennifer thinks the pair could be capable of developing a seriously sexy range," a source was quoted by Hollywood rag, as saying.
J.Lo, who already runs her own fashion label Sweetface, also reportedly asked Victoria, whose fashion line is called Rock and Republic, for script writing tips, even though Victoria has very little movie experience.
"Jennifer is in the process of writing a couple of films, one of which is a real chick flick about two sisters who get separated at birth but are later reunited. She hopes Victoria will lend a hand if needs be and give her opinions on the script," he added. (ANI)

Sexy Jennifer Lopez Parody to Feature Jasmine Byrne

Byrne said that after slowing her productions schedule down a bit to pursue other interests like music and design, she’s revved things back up again for 2007.
“You can only keep up that kind of wild pace for so long,” said Byrne. “Although I love having sex more than anything, I didn’t want to do scenes every single day so I relaxed my schedule just a bit and gave myself a little break.”
“I always loved Jennifer Lopez,” Byrne said of her upcoming role, “and this movie is such a fun adventure that I jumped at the chance to do it.” The title is being directed by Will Rider who also directed Jasmine in a co-starring role for Britney Rears 3.
“Jasmine is one of the hottest girls I’ve ever been around,” said Rider. “She is super sexy, fun and when she has sex, a dead man would jerk one off.”
“I have very high expectations of myself,” continued Byrne,” but I really don’t consider myself all that beautiful. I guess we all have beauty in many ways.
“I guess some people thought I retired which is really crazy because I love having sex too much to quit at my age.”
“Jasmine is beautiful. That’s a fact and we really look forward to working with her,” said Peter Reynolds of Adam & Eve.

Jennifer Lopez vows to stop flashing her flesh
Jennifer Lopez has vowed to stop flashing her flesh.
The Latin star, famed for her curvaceous rear, insists she is ready to cover
up her beautiful body because she is bored with being viewed as a sex
symbol.
Lopez, who is married to singer Marc Anthony, told Harper's Bazaar magazine:
"I'm going to start wearing clothes that are closed up to the neck with
bows!
"That going out and being glam thing gets old fast. People keep saying to
me, 'You're not out there anymore.' And I say, 'That's because I don't want
to be!'"
J.Lo designs her own fashion range, Sweetface, and says she wants to devote
more time to her clothes line.
Meanwhile, Lopez's ex-fianc? Ben Affleck has admitted he is glad he didn't
marry her.
The 'Hollywoodland' actor - who is now married to actress Jennifer Garner
and has a baby daughter, Violet, with her - insists he is relieved his
relationship with J.Lo fell apart because his life was becoming "miserable".
Affleck recently said: "I should never have got engaged and never gone down
that route. I thought I wanted certain things, but I didn't. I got lost and
felt suffocated, miserable and gross. I had to stop and think, 'What am I
doing with my life?'"
In other news, Jennifer Lopez is the executive producer of a gritty new drama series about a gang leader who becomes a defense attorney.
The actress/singer has been given script commitment by Fox studios for ‘Brethren’, a series that is loosely based on the life of Isaac Guillen, a former gangbanger who puts his multiple-felony past behind him and becomes a defense attorney.
In a statement, JLo revealed that it was the "fine line the character must walk" between his professional life, and his personal one, is what first got her interested in the concept.
"What interested me was the fine line the character must constantly walk in terms of both his professional and personal life, and the fact that it comes from a true-life story makes it all the more compelling," Zap2it quoted her, as saying.
Guillen's life is complicated by the fact that his colleagues think he's corrupt and his clients believe he's corruptible.

Jennifer Lopez landed luxuryseats
Jennifer Lopez angered fellow passengers on a private jet taking guests to TOM CRUISE and KATIE HOLMES' wedding ceremony by claiming all the best seats for her party. Other celebrity passengers including JADA PINKETT SMITH, LEAH REMINI and JERRY MAGUIRE director CAMERON CROWE were shocked when they boarded the luxury 757 to find Lopez had taken over.
A source tells American publication Us Weekly, "Jennifer Lopez sent her assistant to secure seats by laying her belongings on all the best seats!" The MAID IN MANHATTAN actress also flew her hairstylist, KEN PAVES, to Rome and set him up at the posh Hotel Hassler to do her hair for the big day.
The singer ruffled more feathers at a group dinner at the restaurant Nino on Thursday night (16NOV06) by refusing to stick to the informal dress code. The source adds, "The November 16 welcome dinner was supposed to be casual. But J.Lo, of course, wore a gown. So much for casual." Lopez also asked a waiter to prepare two "doggie bags" in the wee hours after the wedding, at 2:33 am, for her and husband MARC ANTHONY as they made their way to the airport to return to the US.

Stars arrive in Rome for TomKat wedding
Jennifer Lopez and her husband, Marc Anthony, Jim Carrey, Jada Pinkett Smith and Brooke Shields are among the celebrities arriving in Rome for Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' wedding on Saturday.
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes will likely wed Saturday in a Scientology ceremony held at a 15th-century Italian castle in a lakeside town near Rome, the town’s mayor said Thursday.
The wedding party, along with guests, are then expected to attend a banquet the same day in Rome, Bracciano Mayor Patrizia Riccioni said.
For weeks rumors have focused on Odescalchi Castle in the sleepy town of Bracciano as the likely venue for the celebrity wedding. Riccioni told a news conference Thursday she had met the couple the day before somewhere outside of her town, but she would not say where.

Lopez and Fineman Creating Brethren
Jennifer Lopez and producer Ross Fineman are teaming up for an hourlong Fox TV Studios drama project set up at Fox Broadcasting, reports Variety.
Alfonso Moreno ("The Practice") is writing the tentatively titled "Brethren," based on the true story of an ex-gangbanger who gets his act together and becomes a defense attorney.
Lopez and Simon Fields will executive produce via their Nuyorican Productions, with Fineman executive producing via his first-look deal at FTVS.
Charles Glen and Barbara Cox are also onboard as executive producers. Fox has made a script commitment to the hour.
Central character in "Brethren" faces a potential sentence of life in prison if he's ever convicted of another felony. Because of his past, the DA's office and police believe he's corrupt, while his clients think he can be corrupted. He'll also face the challenge of being a single dad.
"Brethren" is based on the life of Isaac Guillen. He'll be a consultant on the project, while Nuyorican's Matt Robertson is attached as a producer.

Jennifer Lopez hates dressing up
Jennifer Lopez hates dressing up for showbiz events, and insists her days of gracing red carpets in eye-catching outfits are over. The star makes Harper's Bazaar's best-dressed list and appears on the cover of the magazine's December (07) issue, but she insists she would rather stay at home than dress up to go out.
Lopez shares her favourite looks of the moment with the publication, which include hats and head wraps reminiscent of AUDREY HEPBURN.
The WAITING FOR TONIGHT singer has deliberately toned down her look from the days where she appeared in slashed-down-to-her-navel dresses and now prefers "clothes that are closed up to the neck with bows." Lopez, who designs her own fashion range called Sweetface insists she is "not into 'sexy, sexy,'" and also claims she's not into attending events just to show off her great sense of style. She adds, "That going-out-and-being-glam thing gets old fast. People keep saying to me, 'You're not out there anymore.' "And I say, 'That's because I don't want to be!'"

JLo calls false pregnancy rumours price one pays for being famous
Jennifer Lopez has slammed media claims she's pregnant with hubby Marc Anthony's first child, insisting the reports are "100 per cent false".
The Waiting for Tonight singer has been the prime target of tabloid stories claiming she is expecting, ever since she tied the knot with Anthony two years ago. But dismissing these rumours as completely baseless, Lopez said they're just a price one pays for being famous. "These kinds of rumours are part of being famous. You learn to not let it affect you," Contactmusic quoted her, as telling US Harper's Bazaar. The Shall We Dance actress, on the other hand, also said that she's not sure if she would actually share the happy news with the public when she decides to start a family. "I don't know if I would be super-protective or (willing) to share my joy. I won't know till it happens," she said.(ANI)
